            Carmen Pelaez


            A graduate of American Academy for the Dramatic Arts New York, Carmen received a NYFA fellowship for 'rum & coke' which she's performed in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Miami. Carmen and her family were featured by Ted Koppel on a 'Nightline' Friday Night Special. She was the first PS NBC performer to sign with NBC and was also a regular featured contributor for the critically acclaimed Nightline/PBS co-production 'Life 360'. She's featured in 'A Very Serious Person' directed by Charles Busch which had its world premiere at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. 'City beneath the sea', her play for marionettes which she wrote in collaboration with Pablo Cano, had its premier at MOCA in Miami and is a featured show at 2006 Art Basel. Currently, Carmen is developing 'rum & coke' with director Carl Andress at Abingdon Theater in New York City looking for its 2007-2008 season.
